“Into the Night” with Devil’s Hollow – Southern Rock Done Right!!

Devil's Hollow Album

So another one of the southern rock bands that I’ve been listening to over the last week is Devil’s Hollow. I’ve been listening to their self-titled 2010 début album. I do believe that this “funky blues-rock powerhouse, driven by lead guitarists Justin Murray and Nick Doe and keyboardist Matt Cain (Spank, Nadis Warriors)” from New Braunfel’s Texas just may be my favorite! If they are not, my overall favorite, “Demons Down” is at the least my favorite track over the last week or so!

The band started as a blues power trio, but has evolved by….

Blending elements of 60’s power-rock and soulful 70’s Southern blues, Devil’s Hollow has shared the stage with notable Texas musicians such as 2010 ‘Austin Musician of the Year’ Bob Schneider, Latin rock’s Del Castillo and Vallejo, and Dallas’ punkabilly kings Reverend Horton Heat

In addition to “Demons Down” I also enjoyed “Heinous”, which has a little Allman Brother’s vibe to it; and the instrumental “Ketchup’s Boogie” (I love the keyboards on this track)

Devil's Hollow bandThe complete band line-up includes:

Justin Murray: Lead guitar, vocals
Nick Doe: Lead guitar, vocals
Matt Cain: Keyboards, vocals
Jimmy Hartman: Bass, vocals
WJ Robinson: Drums

Mike Zeoli: Percussion
