So if you enjoy that Classic Southern Rock sound you need to check out Haywire Riot by Skinny Molly. I had never heard of these guys, until the other day when I was listening to Mile Train and Devil’s Hollow and a bunch of similar sounding bands. From their website:
Skinny Molly was founded in 2004 by Mike Estes (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd) and drummer Kurt Pietro. What was meant to be a one off tour of Europe has turned into one of the hardest working and popular rock bands out of the southern United States. Founder Mike Estes, both a great guitarist and songwriter. He has been in both Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot. Jay Johnson, also a guitarist, has played with the Rossington Band, the Southern Rock All-Stars and Blackfoot. While Kurt Pietro also plays with Blackfoot. So the band’s pedigree is solid.
The album has a lot of great tracks. One of the ways I know that I really like an album is if the chorus swirls around in my head while, and after a song is played and on this album that happened on the first track “If You Don’t Care” and on several other tracks, including this song “Devil in a Bottle”….. check them out!!
